Day 49. Awakening
to rain dropping a lullaby against the window panes, a snow melt melody. Heavy gray clouds shade the sky, an invitation to remain curled under the blankets, to drift back to sleep, to be lulled into dreams while time’s heartbeat, the mantle clock, rocks restless into muted daylight.
