Wind Advisory

Day 17. The wind, channeling up the Niagara River gorge from Lake Ontario, sounds like an echo of the famous waterfall’s roar. It’s not the susurration of wind easing through pine trees nor a soughing, that deep whisper sigh falling petals make, but air forced and raked against the river’s current, against the calcareous rock face.
